UPS Power SOLUTIONS

For Inverters, UPS', Batteries and other PowerbackUPS

When your power fails - and the lights go out -

....power back up will automatically switch in seamlessly.

Power Usage Guide

Please view the power guide charts below to find the correct rating for your appliances.

Note the following information is to help extend Battery and UPS life.

This is done by minimizing irregular behavior certain loads cause on your UPS. These characteristics, you should be aware of, are found in laser printers, laser copiers and fax machines or any other equipment where heating elements or “fuser’s” are incorporated. The fuser is randomly switched on and off with every operating cycle it draws a substantial amount of current.

Avoid any Thermal heating or Heater element type equipment from being connected to a modified sign wave UPS.

This type of equipment tends to draw all the current away from other equipment sharing the same UPS causing malfunctions and possible damage to the UPS.
As emergency lighting during power outages - Neon lighting is also something to be avoided ie. avoid connecting up to both modified or pure sine wave. The best solution is to avoid connecting this type of equipment to any UPS.

Allow for a power safety factor of 25-30% above the maximum expected power drain to be included.

COPIERS, PRINTERS and FAX machines

It has been successfully determined that a typical laser printer and the 4-in-1 fax/printer/copier/scanner (850Watts) needs a power supply that should be capable of more than 1200 watts. Also these devices will effect other equipment connected to the same UPS it will cause malfunctioning to appear and the equipment not work properly.

It is suggested that the laser printer and other such like equipment use a dedicated UPS- install a separate over sized SBS or UPS that is dedicated to power that piece of equipment only or a UPS that has a true sin wave output.
A spare capacity of 25-30% is recommended, so that if a surge occurs the system does not overload

MOTORS and PUMPS

On start-up motors and pumps use a surge of current. After running for a while they stabilize and then draw a constant current. This stabilizing period can vary in time, from a few seconds up to a minute, depending on the load. Normally after running for a few seconds, that is, the equipment reaches a stabilised state of its specified rating.  Suggested to allow ± 30% above the required power usage when choosing your UPS.

Blazer UPS - The smallest in our range

These units have a continuous balanced output.

The Blazer range is an advanced line interactive uninterruptible power system, which is designed to prevent any spikes, sags and blackouts from reaching your sensitive equipment, ranging from computers and telecommunication systems to computerized instruments. Under normal power conditions the UPS filters out all small fluctuations. During electrical power failure the unit employs its internal maintenance free batteries to supply back up power without any interruption

USAGE
The Blazer UPS is a stable power supply used for short periods of back up time.
It does not respond to a wide range of power fluctuations eg. motors or motorised equipment.
These UPS' are designed to give a constant clean uninterrupted supply of power, during sudden cuts, for a 'carry over period'. This in turn is to allow you enough time to save your data, to shut down safely or change over to an alternative power source (Generator etc.).
Typical use of the Blazer UPS is for computers, servers, data capturing (Time clock - access control), etc.UPS Blazer

The Blazer 600 UPS is an excellent cost effective  power backup system for small appliances such a PC's and small telephone systems.
